What is the role?

As a chemical engineering consultant, you could be working on any number of unique projects at different points in the life cycle.

Day to day, you can expect responsibilities to include:

  • Travelling to client sites to assess the current situation, eg. a hazard study, and thinking through the implications for safety
  • Project delivery and project management
  • Analysis and report writing
  • Working with the US team
  • Exploring innovative ways to improve process safety and reduce risk for clients

Who is best suited to this role?

The company are looking for candidates with the following:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering – master’s level preferred but not required
  • Experience in consulting or project delivery within the petrochemical, gas, oil or power industries
  • Knowledge of how to follow an audit and risk assessment protocol
  • Confidence in chemical engineering processes
  • A good understanding of engineering design and implications for safety
  • Great people skills with the ability to explain complicated ideas in a simple and clear manner
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • A high level of self-motivation and desire for career progression
